Blaze Basketball Club – Background

Our club was established in 1961 and has always played a leading role in the development of Scottish basketball.

Widely acknowledged as a welcoming and successful club it has grown to over 450 members.

We operate 24 male and female squads at U10, U12, U14, U16 , U18 & senior level. These compete in the Scottish national (Sept - March) & Lothian Regional (Sept to April) leagues.

We also run less competition focused recreational squads / sessions, additional special needs (ASN) & wheelchair basketball.

We provide full access and inclusion to our club - including subsidised and scholarship memberships, weekly open sessions and school holiday basketball camps.

We run national & international trips throughout the year.

The club is supported by a fabulous group of parent volunteers who run the Blaze cafe at home games and raise funds for the club.
